Serenity Creek’s Tips for Eyes that Stun
Spring 2015 makeup looks are all about the eyes and we’re loving it!
By Serenity Creek’s own; Caitlin Craighead
This year’s spring makeup focuses on soft, natural eyes. Browns and bronzes were the popular choice for industry leaders like Giorgio Armani, Gucci, and Givenchy. Classic Chanel showcased some AMAZING nude eye looks while Vera Wang and Christian Dior favored an exciting “flash of color” (nude eyes featuring a subtle flash of soft pinks and purples). Can’t wait to sport these new trends? Neither can we! Fortunately, we’ve found the PERFECT way to achieve these stunning trends with our skin-safe Jane Iredale makeup collection! Here are the products we used to recreate Spring 2015 runway looks:
Three MAKEUP MUST-HAVES for Spring 2015
Quad Bronzer (comes in Sunbeam, Moonglow, and Rose Dawn)
This baby is the definition of “All-In-One.” The quad bronzer contains four soft shades of various colors. Here’s the best part: These colors can be used ANYWHERE on the face! At a modest $48, the Quad Bronzer delivers gorgeous, lasting hues for eyes, brows, cheeks, and lips!
The In-Touch Highlighter in Complete is the perfect eye-lid primer, lip primer, and highlighter. This little guy brightens up the face and serves so many purposes for only $28. It’s the perfect tool for a bright, dewy, youthful look.
Last, but certainly not least, is Enlighten. Since we’re focusing on eyes, we needed a product to conceal those pesky dark circles and fine lines. Enlighten conquers them like no other! Enlighten also reflects light and creates the illusion of a larger, more open eye. We also like to use this miracle product to conceal blemishes. At $29, Enlighten is the perfect addition to all makeup collections!
With these Jane Iredale products, all eyes will be locked on your perfectly primed peepers! So now you can check Spring 2015 off your list, but what about eyes that radiate youthful elegance all year round? Here are some ways to make sure you’ve got a gorgeous gaze EVERY day:
TNS EYE REPAIR:
This rich eye cream should be part of everyone’s skincare routine. SkinMedica’s unique formula fights wrinkles around the eye while replenishing moisture. TNS Eye Repair not only turns back the clock by erasing fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, it also prevents further signs of aging! If that’s not enough to make this $98 miracle cream your MVP, TNS Eye Repair also corrects dark under-eye circles! While many Eye Creams boast reduction of dark circles, you’ll usually find Serenity Creek Staff Members rolling our eyes in disbelief. However, this one changed our minds for good. This product, we can all agree, is the best of its class when it comes to kicking your wrinkles….to the curb.
BOTOX: THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH
Botox is THE BEST way to give your eyes a drastic boost of youth without having to go under the knife. Botox is safe, easy, and treatment can be tailored specifically to your desired level of lift and change! For those that conjure up images of the plastic cat woman at the mention of Botox, we assure you that Botox is nothing to be afraid of. Like any good thing, injectables get a bad rep by those that abuse them. When used in moderation to enhance your natural features and restore some of the lift that is lost with age over time, Botox usually goes completely undetected by all but the patient. While friends and family will take notice of your refreshed appearance, they won’t be able to put their finger on the exact change.
However, we feel the age of Botox being a social taboo should be thrown out along with shoulder pads and parachute pants. With Botox and other injectable neurotoxins gaining exponential popularity every year, chances are you already know someone who actively receives Botox treatments (whether you KNOW it or not!). It might be time to confront that gorgeous friend of yours that somehow stopped aging years ago; Find out if Botox is the secret weapon in her beauty arsenal. If you live in Austin, it’s likely that your stunning acquaintance is treated by our very own Aesthetic Nurse Injector, Alicia Long.
