JD Whittemore, PT, DPT, SCS



Dr. Whittemore is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy. He is a national member of both the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), as well as the Orthopaedic and Sports sections of the APTA. He enjoys playing a variety of sports having completed multiple Half-Ironman triathlons, Tough Mudder Races, and Spartan Races. He is currently training for his first Ironman race Coeur d’Alene. He also enjoys participating in benefit races such as the Chosen Marathon, a benefit race for adoptive families and orphans, the Run for the Water race, a benefit that supports the Gazelle Foundation (an Austin-based non-profit improving the lives of citizens of Burundi, Africa, through the building of water systems), and the 2014 Colorado River Ramble which benefits The Expedition School Fund and the Colorado River Alliance. J.D. also gives back to his community by volunteering for the Austin Disaster Relief Network and as a youth group leader for LifeAustin Church. He recently returned from a missions trip to Kampala, Uganda, where he worked with the organization Music For Life, home of his selected nonprofit, The African Children’s Choir. Additionally, In his free time, he enjoys taking his Weimaraner, Dutch, to Zilker Park, and going on out on his SUP board.
